What are Homebound Services?
Your Kirkwood Public Library provides free home delivery of library materials to Kirkwood residents who are unable to come into the library due to illness or physical limitations. The program is open to patrons of all ages. Materials are delivered to residents of private homes, senior residential centers, skilled nursing centers and group homes. We offer a wide selection of materials including bestselling books, movies, music and more.
How do I sign up?
We are happy that you are considering signing up for our homebound services. Simply call the library at 314-821-5770, ext. 1012 or complete either the print or online application. You may mail the print application to the Kirkwood Public Library, 140 E. Jefferson, Kirkwood, MO 63122. After sign-up, one of our volunteers will be in touch shortly to discuss materials that might interest you. Online Homebound Services Application.
How will the library materials be delivered?
A friendly volunteer or staff member from the library will deliver materials to you every six weeks, or on a schedule that is convenient for both you and the volunteer.
What materials are available?
Anything from the library's collection! We have hardcover, paperback and large print books, audiobooks, DVD movies and television shows, and music CDs. We are happy to help you with your selections by discussing authors, books, music, movies and TV shows that interest you.
